Spring Inspired Makeup Look ❀ + My Youtube Channel!

 Hi everyone! :)
I know I've been really been bad on my blog recently but I am finally decided. I was actually contemplating on whether I should keep this blog or focus on my Youtube channel instead. Guess what? I decided to keep both! I've been so attached to this blog. Although this blog doesn't have a lot of viewers, I still don't want to let it go since I also love writing! I decided that I will do a beauty channel on Youtube since I love doing beauty videos despite the fact that I am still shy on the camera (well, it will take some getting used to but it's all good!) and I still want to keep this blog in accompaniment with my videos. <3

So without further ado, I want to present to you my latest make up tutorial on my channel! I hope you guys like it, and here below are some of the photos of the finish product. :)

Laura Mercier Glamour Wardrobe Double Decker Set

Hello everyone! Yes, I am still alive... I know I've been slacking on posting here on my blog lately. Just because I've been so busy the past few weeks. But like I said in so many of my posts already, I will never abandon this blog.

These pictures have been in my drafts for months. This was a gift to by my Dad's sister, Tita Doris for my 18th birthday! I love it to bits and I wanted to show it to you all, this is also a short review of it, by the way.

LauraMercierSet

This set has pretty much everything you need! Lipstick, blush, highlighter, bronzer, eyeshadow and brushes! Just put on your foundation, powder, and have this set, and you're ready to face the world. Haha.

LauraMercierSet

I love also how this set is has two decks rather than everything in just one whole pallete. It saves so much space.

LauraMercierSet

The first deck contains eye shadows with a mix of mattes and shimmery ones. It's also perfect because it has mostly neutral colors and colors for smokey eye. No need to worry about the brush as the well as the kit contains a blending brush, and a dual ended crease brush and an angled brush.

LauraMercierSet
Swatches of the eye shadow are same in order as the ones in the pallete

LauraMercierSet

This is the second deck of the set and is my favorite. It contains 4 different shades of lipstick from nudes to reds and pink! My personal favorite is the Chambord shade. I actually overused it. I love how it also contains a lip brush.

See why I told you that EVERYTHING is actually here? I wasn't joking!

The lower portion of the second deck contains the blushes, highlighter, and bronzer.
This is actually multipurpose. The bronzer can double up as an eyebrow shader. All of the these are in cream form.

Overall, I can say that this pallete is a dream for me. Because it has everything I need from day to night. I don't know much about the prize range as this was a gift. If you do, let me know so I could edit this as soon as I could! As for the quality, it's beyond amazing! I guess that's it.

Now since I am bored, I will fix my stuff because I have all the time today.
Until my next blog post :)

MAC Girl About Town Review and Swatches

Hello everyone! It's Thursday again, and yes, I have no classes. So I decided to always make sure to dededicate an hour or two for this blog when I have free time. I've become so attached to this that this has become a part of my routine.

Enough with the blabber, I am back with my Beauty posts! Today, I will be reviewing one of my favorite MAC lipsticks. I've only had this for 2 months but I can say that it's one of my favorites already. This was a pasalubong from my tita when she went to HK. She seriously knows what I want. <3

If you already have read my current go to make up look, this is the lipstick I used in that post. I use this for school, for going out, and also to parties. If every girl needs a red lipstick, well, in my case, all I need is a fuschia or berry lipstick and I'm all set!

DSC_0089
This shade is Girl About Town. It's formula is an amplified creme so it applies smoothly. It dries up semi-matte and it really gives a whopper of a statement! The longevity of this product lasts about 3-4 hours on me without eating. It's lasting period is just like any typical MAC lipstick but it works perfectly fine for me.

The color is more of a blue-toned fuschia pink that I can honestly say will complement any skin tone. I know it may look like a really bold color but you can also use it if you're a girl like me who loves to experiment on "out there" lipstick colors! I actually use this for college and I love it.

Don't be afraid to try out different things. Make up is all about experimenting. It's about art, in my opinion. And our faces are our canvas. Put on red eyeshadow, or maybe even try out a purple lipstick. Why not, right? It's all about expression! :)

(but ofcourse, if you're going to highschool you might as well stick to the nudes haha or your principal might call you if you wear a purple lipstick :p)

Hope you liked this post!
Until my next one.

My Go To Make Up Look (As of June 2013)

Hi everyone! Writing a new blog post again today because I have nothing else to do. (Actually, I have a lot of school stuff going on but ehh... haha) This has been in my drafts for a month now and I finally got a chance to publish it. This post is something different because it's not a fashion post :)

Last year, the main purpose of this blog was only about beauty. But then, I also learned to love the art of fashion blogging so this blog became both :) Anyway, this is a step by step demonstration of my go to make up look as of June 2013! Whenever there are parties, or just going out, I always reached to this look because it's simple and it's my favorite <3

Day to Night Make Up Tutorial
Excuse my face... Haha

Day to Night Make Up Tutorial
I've been loving this liquid foundation from Muji! It dries matte and it's perfect for my oily skin

Day to Night Make Up Tutorial
1. I first apply the foundation all over my face and a little bit on my neck so it will become even

Day to Night Make Up Tutorial
2. Next is I define my brows using a matte brown eyeshadow. I use the shade Buck from the Urban Decay Naked Pallete

3. Next is eyeshadow! The look of the eye makeup is basically all about neutral colors. You can't go wrong with it in my opinion! :)

4. Then I apply eyeliner

5. After the eye make up, I contour the rest of my face. Contour makes a huge difference, trust me!

See what I mean when I said contour makes a huge difference? It made my face look slimmer, which I absolutely need in my life. Haha.

6. This step in optional. I normally don't do this but for blogging purposes I wanted to show you guys how I contour my nose. :)

7. Apply blush! This is my favorite because it's light and it's look natural.

The best way to apply blush is to smile because it will serve as a guide as to where you should put your blush on. :)

8. Apply your favorite lipstick.

My current favorite! Girl About Town by MAC. Review on this baby soon! :)

And done, I'm all set and ready to go! :D
I hope you learned a thing or two from this post.
Until my next one :)

Make Up Review: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

Hi everyone! Happy first of March! :) I feel really bad for abandoning this blog for almost a month now... :/ I've just been really busy lately! I won't promise anymore, but I'll do it instead :P

Hihi, anyway, here's a review of my favorite holy grail lip stain! <3 I've been using this lip stain EVERY DAY since I bought it in Hong Kong. Totally worth the money spent on it, I must say. It's not actually a My-Lips-But-Better shade, but I love it so much anyway haha!

Basically, the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain (Phew! That's a long name!) is a lip stain and lip balm in one. Don't you just hate the formula of some lip stains that are too drying? :/ I've always been a fan of lip stains but I hate that some formulas are too drying,  but not this one. That's why I love it so much. :D

This lip stain/lip balm applies like a dream. It applies like a lip balm, with the pigmentation of a lipstick, and stays on your lips for hours just like a lip stain. My mistake, it wasn't 2-in-1, it's actually 3-in-1!

The shade I got is in Smitten. Sorry, I forgot to put a swatch here :( but it's a subtle-berry color! Which is my  favorite shade in lipsticks since forever. Haha!

It's also compact, you can stash it in your bag or make up kit without any hassle. The packaging is also cute, as it reminds me of a jumbo crayon.

PROS:
1. Pigmented! Same pigmentation as the Revlon Lip Butter. Check out my review about it here.
2. Moisturizing, just like a lip balm.
3. Lasts for hours. Approximately 3-5 hours without retouching.
4. Kiss friendly! LOL. The product says it's kissable, right? :P It doesn't transfer when it already adheres to your lips and dries up.
5. Leaves a natural flush after a few hours after application, just like a normal lip stain
6. Has a wide selection of colors from pinks, nudes and reds (If I'm not mistaken, there are 12 shades available)
7. Retractable! No need to worry about sharpening :P

CONS:
1. The label worn out after some time
2. The tip of the lip stain eventually flattens after several uses, so it doesn't stay at it's normal crayon-like shape
3. A little bit expensive. Bought mine for PHP 500 converted from HK Dollars, in the Philippines they sell it for PHP 575. (Thank you, anonymous commenter for telling me the price! :D) But definitely worth the money you are splurging! :)

So overall, I love this product. The pros obviously outweigh the cons.

How about you, what do you think? :)
Would you try this product? Is it a yay or nay?

Comment down below your thoughts, suggestions and questions! :)

What's In My Bag: School Edition

WARNING: Photo heavy post

Hello everyone! Hope you're all having a great weekend so far! Here I am with a new blog post. This time's different because it's a "what's in my bag" post. I figured that it would be a nice blog to write about since I've always loved reading and looking at posts like these. And since I'm still in school, I decided to do a school edition because these are the items I bring to me there everyday as of the moment. :)

So, here it goes! Hope you all enjoy <3

Here are my essentials for school! Of course I still bring my notebook and books and other boring school stuff but I won't include it here because you know... it's boring haha jk
I bought this bag organizer at Dapitan for only 100php. This is very useful and I can put a gazillion stuff in here. The following four photos are the things inside this organizer.
1. Johnson's Baby Powder - This comes in handy during PE class when I feel too sticky or maybe even a random day when it's too hot.
2. Johnson's Baby Cologne - I love signature perfumes, but nothing compares to Johnson's Baby Cologne for me. My favorite is the Powder Mist which is the one I'm currently using.
3. Clean & Clear oil control film - I have an oily skin type and this baby comes in handy everyday. I hate that greasy feeling so this  is a must-have for me.
4. Toothbrush - Because you will never know what type of food you eat and how it will make your breath smell! Haha. I actually forgot to put my mini toothpaste too, sorry ;)
5. Alcohol - This is important not only for school. Usually my hands get dirty from touching my books, chairs, tables and other random things.
6. Dental Floss - Don't you just hate having food stuck in your mouth? I do. So this is my one of my essentials. I always use it every after meal so I can smile comfortably during the day. Hihi.
I've always loved to apply a lip color for school because I look more awake and I don't look pale and sick. So I always carry with me some lip products.
1. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - This is my holy grail lip stain! Will do a full review on this soon to tell you how great it is. I use it everyday!
2. EOS Lipbalm in Mint something (I forgot lol sorry) - I love this too. And yes, I will be creating a review on this one as well.
3.  Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Off Beat Pink - I just carry this with me when I'm in the mood to try a different color.
4. Maybelline Baby Lips in Mint something again (I forgot again hehe sorry)
5. Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop - Same reason I have with my EB Lipstick :)
1. Beauty Cosmetics Flat Top Brush - I used this to apply my powder
2. Muji Liquid Foundation - This is what I'm currently using. It has a matte finish so I use it alone.
3. Clean & Clear Powder - I use this because I don't really want to put heavy make up on a daily basis. I only use this for touch-ups.
4. Ellana Kabuki Brush - For my powder also :)
Of course, what's a school bag without things for school, right? So here are my essentials:
1. Pocket Bible - I always carry this because our professor in Biblical Studies requires use to bring one every meeting. So I always keep this in my bag.
2. Scientific Calculator - For my Statistics class
3. Stapler - For stapling hand-outs in my notebook
4. Ballpen - Enough said. Haha! :)
5. Scotch Tape - Same reason I have with the stapler :) and this is for sticking random memos and pictures on my planner!

Would you believe that all of the stuff I mentioned earlier all fit in my bag organizer? :D I swear, that thing is a life-saver!

So, the stuff I will show you now are the contents of the bag itself :)
Every year, I always get myself a planner. I turn it into a diary. I put all the random things I want there, the highlights of my day, pictures and more. I love how I can reminisce good memories whenever I re-read my old planners. And since I want my planner to be as colorful as possible, I always carry my Staedtler set with it.

I am very thankful for my friend, Eunice Somintac for giving this Starbuck's Planner to me! I am so happy! She is such a sweet girl. Click the link on her name to see her channel. She's a Youtube Vlogger! :)

If you're reading this Eunice, thank you sooo much! :D I use this planner everyday <3
Of course, I can never leave the house without my phone, wallet, and earphones. Whether I'm going to school or at the mall, I will ALWAYS have this with me. Because you know, it's important. Haha! As for the earphones, I can't live without it. I need it in my life. I listen to songs everyday and gives me really good vibes. I feel incomplete without it. :)

So, I guess that's it. :D
How about you, what's in your bag? :)

How do you like this new series of my blog? I appreciate feedback! If I would get positive feedbacks I will be doing more editions (clutch essentials, what to put in your bag for vacation and the like)
Thank you for reading! :)
