Debut Series: Birthday Gifts

Hi everyone! As I was cleaning my laptop and deleting unimportant files, I stumbled upon my "Upcoming Blog Posts" folder and found these. I took these pictures right after I opened my gifts at home and forgot to upload it here. Nonetheless, as part of the debut series I promised you guys, here are the gifts I have received.

DISCLAIMER: I am not trying to brag about this but some have requested this and this is just my way of saying thank you to each and everyone. I am beyond thankful for everything I have received. THANK YOU ALL. <3

P.S. This is not all the gifts. I forgot to take pictures of the others because everything was all over the place! So if I didn't include your gift here I'm so sorry :( I can still remember that the gifts of my 3 best friends aren't here in these photos :(

I'll just let the photos do the talking for now! It's 4:50 in the morning and I better sleep. Good morning for you guys, while it's only goodnight for me! Hihi

Debut Series: Predebut Pictures (Blue and Gold)

Hello everyone! Here I am writing a new blog post again because I have nothing to do. I'm waiting for my tita because she will do my make-up for the next photoshoot I am doing! :) It's not really a serious one, just for fun actually. Haha. So anyway, this is the second to the last set of my pre-debut pictures. I hope you won't get tired of my face though. :P

Ate Mel Mateo of Lightstroke Makeup. I really recommend her! She's honestly the best. She's also my make up artist during the night of my debut <3

Kuya Kimmer (One of the stylists), me, and Tito Egay (my debut coordinator)

Note: The clothes are not mine, all clothes, accessories and shoes I wore from the shoot are from my stylists that day, all thanks to Ate Racquel Gutierrez and Kuya Kimmer Ferrer. They were very kind enough to lend and style me with all these pretty clothing! <3 <3

Also I want to thank my uncle, Tito Absy Dacer for taking such great photos. I actually had to rush him to edit my photos so I would just have something post here! My make up artist, Ate Mel Mateo, and my coordinator of course, Tito Egay Cubelo.

Until my next blog post!

Debut Series: Predebut Pictures (Bedazzled)

Hello everyone! As promised, I will share with you all my pre-debut pictures in this blog. I haven't had the time to update because I was so stressed with all the last minute debut errands I had to do. But since my debut is already done, I have more time now besides the fact that I have so many school work. Haha. Pero okay lang, keri ko yan. :P

I think the fourth part of my predebut pictures if I am not mistaken! This probably is one of my ultimate favorites because I wore a legit Sherri Hill dress! Another item crossed off my bucket list. <3

Look how pretty this dress is? Aaaah. I feel like I'm Barbie when I wore this together with the pretty pink shoes! A chubby Barbie that is. Haha. :P

By the way, I can't wait to share with you all my debut pictures! It was truly a magical experience for me, a dream come true honestly. It was indeed a night to remember. But I will blabber more about it when I already have a copy of the official photos so I can post it here as well. :)

BEDAZZLED

This dress looks so much prettier in person than in pictures! It literally shines bright like a diamond. lol.

So, that's it for now. Making this blog post as short as possible because I have to do my homework for tomorrow and pack my clothes because we'll be leaving for our Macau trip on Wednesday! I have so many blog posts in mind and I can't wait to post it here as soon as I can <3

Debut Series: Predebut Pictures (Punk Rock Look)

Hi everyone! Here I am sneaking another part of my debut pictures. To be honest, I am actually hesitating to upload this set because I fear that I might get a lot of negative feedback on as to how daring this outfit looks. But, since I want this blog to be something I could look back to, I decided to post it nonetheless. This set doesn't pretty much reflect who I really am but I wanted to try different things. I am more on the girly side, actually.

This is actually the most daring outfit I have worn to date! Please don't judge me :P I love the whole outfit, it screams "Punk Rock" in every single detail. I hope I pulled it off though, what do you think? :)

Punk Rock

Before anything else, the one I am wearing under is not a panty! It's actually a pair of shorts which my stylist told me to fold so it will look like a "tangga." A type of clothing I could wear under since my leggings are too sheer.

By the way, I am writing this blog post in my school's IT Lab. Free use of computers and internet, baby! :P We have a 3 hour break so my friends and I decided to stay here and do their homework for our next class. Since I already did mine at home because I am a very responsible student (chos!), I'm just editing this blog post until my friends are done with their task.

That's it! Forgive me, minsan lang mag-debut! Haha. What do you think of my look? Does the "Punk Rock" peg suit me? :D Comment down your insights below! I would love to hear from you all <3

Until my next entry!

Debut Series: Predebut Pictures (Burlesque Look)

Happy Sunday everyone! Sneaking again another blog post because I have nothing to do. I honestly want to go to school right now (...now that's something you don't read everyday! lol) I just want to see my friends and just laugh the day away :( hashtag clingy friend right here :P

Anyway, since I've told you guys that I will be showing you my predebut pictures, here is the second batch. The stylists peg was more of a Victoria's Secret, pin-up girl, burlesque look! This look is actually one of my favorites because I haven't worn anything as daring as this before, but I love it. <3

Looks like I'm dancing "Gentleman" here. Lol but I wasn't haha! I can't even dance to save my life...

I really hope I pulled off such an extremely sexy outfit. What do you think? Did I? Haha :P One of the biggest reasons why I tried to lose weight was this photoshoot and the debut itself.

And that's it. Which one is your favorite from the bunch? Let me know! :)

Debut Series: Predebut Pictures (Spring Look)

Hi everyone! :) Aaaah, I am so happy today! Mainly because I reached 100,000 views on this blog. Never thought I would get this far, but I did. All because of you guys. <3 Thank you all so much!

Anyway, like I said in my previous blog post (Debut Series: Food Tasting) I want you all to be part of my debut that's why I want to share everything here in this blog. So last month, I had a pre-debut shoot and I want you to show some of the pictures look by look! Here is the first look I had. My peg was more of a spring ambience.

My make up artist, Ate Mel Mateo, and my coordinator of course, Tito Egay Cubelo

So here is the first batch of the pre-debut pictures! I have 5 more looks to show you guys, and this is only the first one.

I know some of my imperfections are peeking through the photos, but I like it that way. I'm not really a fan of having too much editing on photos. I want it to be the real deal, because it's the real me. And I have to embrace it. <3 Plus, I don't want people to be surprised or shocked to see me in person because I look different in pictures. The only thing that's edited in these photos are the colors to make it look more alive because it's a spring theme.

Oh, and by the way, I was wearing stockings during the shoot because I have an allergy that I am incredibly embarrassed off. :( So yeah, my legs aren't that flawless! :P

So, I guess that's it. Which of these photos is your favorite shot? :D I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Happy 100k views to me! Thank you all again for making this happen. Until my next blog post! :)

Debut Series: Food Tasting

Hi guys! My debut is about to come and I want you all to be a part of it! So I decided to share with you everything about it so you can have a glimpse of my special day and also the other things behind it. Since a debut is a once in a lifetime event in my entire existence, I thought that I should put every detail about it in my blog so I can have something I could look back to.

Last June 06, 2013, we went to my party venue to have a food tasting with my family. When doing events like these, a food tasting is a must so you would know what type of food you'll be serving to your guests. I lost the paper wherein there's a menu of the food we ordered so I'm just gonna show you guys the pictures!

Before the food tasting, we planned out that the serving of food should be plated to make it look more classy rather than a buffet type course. And since it's a formal event, we don't want people to be standing around and waiting in line for their turn wearing gowns and suits. It would be very uncomfortable for them to do so.

Here's how a serving looks like. The food is actually good and filling for a girl like me already BUT I think it's not enough. I fear that people might get hungry since it's a dinner party. I want my guests to feel full. :(

So while we finished the food tasting, our family and I had decided to get the buffet type course instead of the plated one. I know I said earlier that we wanted the plated course, but here are the reasons why buffet is better:

1. Your guests have a lot of choices. In a buffet course, there will be choices of chicken, fish, beef and pork. In a plated one, you'll be served only two viands. Which is not very applicable to everyone because some might be allergic to fish, or chicken, so in that case, your guest wouldn't enjoy the food if that's the only meal you'll be serving.
2. Your guests would know how much he/she needs to eat. He/she can go back if they're still hungry. But in a plate course, the guests doesn't have any choice but to settle with what you'll be serving.
3. Buffet type course is more generous because it doesn't cut down portion sizes. Unlike the plated one that is obviously more limited.

So obviously, the buffet course definitely outweighs the sit-down entree. Mainly those are the reasons why we decided to change our first plan! The photos I showed you guys aren't the ones I'll be serving on the exact debut. Like I said, I feel that it isn't enough for my guests. These are only the food we had during the food tasting. Sit-down entrees are great, but I think buffet type courses are way better.

How about you? Which of the two would you prefer? :)

xx, Iyah
