Thank you, Lord. (August 7, 2012 Rainfall)

NOTE: This is not a beauty nor a fashion post. I won't think of those right now as this post is far more important.

Starting yesterday, rainfall has struck our country, the Philippines. It has been non-stop up to now and has been raining for more than 24 hours already. Many people are reported to be in danger. Some even died and are in critical condition. Flood levels have reached above a person's height already. Schools, barangay offices, and covered courts have been offered as evacuation centers already.

It is indeed a drastic event for us Filipinos. I wish I could help the people who are stranded right now, with no shelter to protect them and no food to fill their empty stomach, and yet I can't, because I, myself can't even get out of the house. Here I am just trying to write a blog my entry. This is the only way I can express my feelings about this such event, and how I am deeply depressed about what us Filipinos have experienced, and since the rain hasn't stop just yet, STILL experiencing, to be exact.

I pity the people who lost the lives of their family. I pity the people who live in the streets and look for food in trashcans. I pity the people who ask for money just to make it a living. I pity all of them, and yet I can't do anything to help them. I wish I could, but I don't know how...

Some said, this is God's punishment because we are too irresponsible for his creations. Some even say it's because of the RH Bill. In my opinion, God will never make us suffer. I know he doesn't want this to happen to us. This is our fault really, we are too careless to even throw our garbages properly that's why floods has been occurring. I hope this tragedy will be a wake up call for us Filipinos to take care of the gifts God has given us and not just take it for granted. In my case, this has been a wake up call for me.

I even find it a little disappointing when some of the students still think and hope for the suspension of the classes. Some even wish that it would rain harder because they don't want to go to school. C'mon guys, stop thinking of your lazy ass and start caring about the people who are homeless.

I am still glad that us Filipinos still try to help each other. I am very happy to see rescue teams helping the people who got stranded and who are homeless. I am glad that a lot of schools offer their campus as evacuation centers and some students like nursing students volunteer in helping. I am happy that Filipinos work together in this drastic moment, and that just proves that we are ONE nation.

So to my fellow Filipinos, hang on there. We can make it. I know God won't give us anything we can't handle. Let's all pray for our safety, and let us not forget all the people out there who needs help the most.

I am very thankful still that some of my fellow Filipinos are safe. Including me and my family. So, to those who are in their homes right now, watching a movie on HBO or Star Movies, peacefully sleeping or bloated from the dinner they had, thank God because you're one of the few people who are not suffering from this calamity. I am thankful that I have shelter, I have food, and my loved ones are still here with me. THANK YOU, LORD.

"Be strong now because things will get better, it might be stormy now, but it can't rain forever."

DISCLAIMER: All my thoughts here are all my honest opinions. I don't intend to insult anyone nor anything.
